This endeavor requires consultation with a vendor with extensive experience and a history of successful implementations. The SACM program is intended to populate, maintain, and manage a configuration management database (CMDB) and processes that address: ? Hardware assets ? Software assets ? Hardware CIs ? Software CIs ? Relationship and dependency mappings The overall project will provide the foundation for enhancing the use of ITSM, ITOM, and other ServiceNow modules. The completed project will also facilitate the Department of Technology Services (DTS) compliance with statutory requirements. The scope of work for this contract is to: 1. Identify and award a vendor that has: a. Extensive experience with deploying and configuring ServiceNows Discovery product. b. Extensive experience with deploying and configuring ServiceNows Software Asset Management Professional product. c. Extensive experience with configuring the aforementioned products to populate ServiceNows configuration management database (CMDB). 2. Identify and award a vendor that will: a. Review project documents, prepared by DTS, for implementing a Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) program. These documents include: i. A work breakdown structure (WBS) ii. A project scope of work b. Edit aforementioned documents with experience based recommendations for accomplishing: i. Hardware and software inventory for asset management ii. Hardware and software inventory for configuration management iii. Mapping relationships between assets and related configuration items (CIs). iv. Mapping relationships between CIs v. Creating dependency mappings vi. Creating service mappings c. Assist in the development of an overall implementation plan that can be executed in quantifiable logical phases based on best practices and vendors experience. Plan will include: i. SACM governance model ii. SACM roles and responsibilities iii. SACM management procedures iv. SACM maintenance procedures 3.
