Job Description : Health Systems Integration Engineer will provide coordination, development and technical support for the integration between Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi (BCBSMS) and clinic/hospitals electronic systems throughout the state of Mississippi. This position will require software design, development, installation, trouble-shooting, and recommending corrective actions within the area of health systems integration. Job-Specific Requirements: A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, or related field, is required. Strong documentation skills are required, including writing, interpreting, and communicating technical documentation. Knowledge of software development coding structures and software lifecycle methodologies required. Experience of 5 years developing with Java, Java EE, Spring, SQL, JSON and web services (SOAP, Restful, Microservices) is required. Experience of 5 years developing with TCP/IP, FTP and HTTP is required. Experience developing with JavaScript, SpringBoot, SSO and OAuth2 is strongly preferred. Experience with databases such as SQL Server and DB2 is strongly preferred. Experience using XML and XSLT is preferred. Familiarity with data integration standards and 2 years of healthcare applications integration experience is preferred. Knowledge of healthcare provider workflow/processes along with 2 years of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) applicationexperience is preferred. Knowledge of HL7, FHIR and EDI X12 message formats is preferred. Working knowledge of implementing communications between various EMRs is strongly preferred.
