The contractor shall be responsible for identifying, securing, compiling in Microsoft Excel, and submitting to the IDHW. Indicators or measures, and corresponding county or sub-county data sets, must be empirically linked to the categorical area of interest (e.g., a) unmet health need, b) health disparities, c) workforce shortages, and d) barriers to accessing health care). For example, unmet health needs may be due to cost, distance to care, patient wait times, or lack of a primary care provider. The IDHW will then require the contractor to secure and provide corresponding data at the county or sub-county level that is reflective of prohibitive cost of care, distance to care, patient wait times, or the proportion of the population without a primary care provider. The contractor may source datasets from publicly available state or federal government agencies. (e.g., U.S. Census Bureau, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention).The contractor shall provide a minimum of three (3) indicators/measures with county/sub-county data for each categorical area of interest. The contractor shall be responsible for providing their own computer, internet connection, data management software (e.g., Microsoft Excel), and email capability. The contractor can work at an off-site location but will be required to meet on-site or virtually with IDHW staff every other week for 1-2 hours. The contractor shall be able to work independently using data management software (e.g., Microsoft Excel) to compile datasets and will be expected to deliver datasets in Excel format. This position is a part-time, short-term position not to exceed 20 hours per week for 6 weeks. Indicators/measures identified cannot be sourced from the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System. Indicators or measures identified to be sourced from countyhealthrankings.org must be pre-approved by the Idaho PCO. All data identified and collected must be no older than 2014. Agency Expected Deliverables • Identify and collect a minimum of three (3)unmet health need indicators/measures and corresponding data at the county or sub-county level, • Identify and collect a minimum of three (3) health disparities indicators/measures and corresponding data at the county or sub-county level, • Identify and collect a minimum of three (3) workforce shortage indicators/measures and corresponding data at the county or sub-county level, and • Identify and collect a minimum of three (3) indicators/measures related to barriers to accessing health care and corresponding data at the county or sub-county level. Note: A total of 12 datasets will be required to satisfy the expected agency deliverables (3 datasets per each categorical area of interest).
