The specialist is responsible for executing sourcing strategies for assigned categories to drive cost savings and ensure the company is making informed, best value purchasing decisions. Responsible for performing analyses, leading the process for requesting supplier information, proposals and quotes ("RFx"), negotiating purchasing agreements, communicating opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and achieving cost savings goals. RESPONSIBILITIES Have a good understanding of functions within Supply Chain, Sourcing, Procurement and Supplier Diversity. Gain a thorough knowledge of products & services in category space, suppliers processes and industry trends and practices. Meet cost savings targets. Perform moderate analyses of category, spend, financial and industry data to Identify sourcing and cost savings opportunities. Actively seek opportunities to streamline business processes, reduce costs, mitigate risk, and add value to the organization through the strategic sourcing process. Identify and develop cost reduction opportunities by collaborating with clients and stakeholders. Communicate and present sourcing opportunities to build internal support among clients and stakeholders. Identify and address purchasing/contracting needs of internal clients. Build and maintain relationships with internal clients and key stakeholders, such as Operations, Legal, Accounting and Finance. Lead cross-functional sourcing teams, prepare RFxs, develop RFx scoring models, perform vendor analysis, develop SLAs and manage sourcing projects. Negotiate mutually beneficial purchasing agreements. Establish and maintain supplier relationships. Communicate and present sourcing opportunities to build internal support among clients and stakeholders. Maintain telecommunications industry and professional sourcing & supply knowledge and stay up-to-date on industry trends. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Associates degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or related field 0-3 years of sourcing or procurement experience Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of entire supply chain, category management, strategic sourcing, negotiations and contracting concepts Demonstrated ability to successfully lead teams, manage projects and achieve project goals Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities through data and financial analysis, risk assessments and process reviews Knowledge of and experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP, Contract Management and E-Sourcing Systems Knowledge of the telecommunications or wireless industry is beneficial Proficiency with Windows and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Project) Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Strong analytical, project management, communication (written and verbal) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or related field CPSM, PMP or Six Sigma certification is strongly preferred Successful experiences in negotiating purchasing agreements is a plus Working knowledge of e-procurement initiatives and technologies is a plus   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
