Job Duties The Quality Engineer is responsible for coordinating all aspects of test planning and execution. The Quality Engineer is responsible for the creation of the test data set The Quality Engineer is responsible for completion of test plans and their execution. Gathers and clarifies business requirements Develops and maintains test plans, test requirements documentation, test cases, and test scripts Interacts with the design team and end users during the development efforts to ensure inclusion of users requirements within the defined scope Reviews technical design proposals Schedules and leads the user acceptance test effort Provides test script/case training to the user acceptance test team Reports on test activities and results Conducts system and user tests using the test plan and test cases Verifies compliance to commitments contained in the test plans Escalates issues and works to resolve them Participates in testing and post-production verification efforts Executes test scripts and documents and provides the results to the test manager Provides feedback to developers Investigates and resolves test failures Validates that the deployed solution meets the final user requirements Coordinates System Integration and UAT Embody the core values of Agile to deliver quality software to our users Provide suggestions for process improvements Drive measurable improvements in quality demonstrated by reduction in escaped defects and reduced cycle time for testing Transform testing processes and tools to support agile testing best practices demonstrated by increased automation, alignment to the test pyramid, and support for DevOps best practices In addition to supporting DevOps best practices this role should be able to apply DevOps best practices to daily activities Demonstrate adoption of agile testing practices within scrum teams including lightweight test planning, exploratory testing, test automation, alignment to the test pyramid, and whole team testing Drive solutions to enable Regression testing & Performance testing within a standard sprint cadence Deliver work with excellent quality by ensuring optimal test coverage Skills 3-5 years of strong knowledge of Data Warehouse and Data Integration enterprise environments 5 years of experience with Informatica toolset Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as familiarity with a variety of databases Cloud experience preferred Advanced ETL and data pipeline experience Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle 3-5 years of experience with automated testing tools 3-5 y   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
