Complete Description: The Department of Health, Bureau of Information Technology seeks a highly skilled resource in SQL Data Transformation Services (DTS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to perform the conversion of Birth and Death records from the existing mainframe and client based systems to the Departments new Vendor supported DAVE system. This resource will report to the General Government Teams Applications Developer Administrator (ADA). Responsibilities: Data Conversion: • Execute processes to identify and reprocess any records that were recently updated after the record was converted into DAVE • Verify all records were applied into DAVE system • Clean and process any outstanding records • Execute processes to clean and split out mailing address information for record import into DAVE • Correct any issues found during new record process testing • Create MS Access Form(s) for Bureau of Health Statistics and Research (BHSR) staff to view information before the DAVE system goes live • Create automated jobs to apply records into source tables and upload into DAVE on a nightly basis Reporting database: • Create data extract processes that will be used as inputs and integration points into both internal and external systems • Populate information into database Operations: • Create/Populate Disaster Recovery environment and database mirroring • Create documentation on all processes using Bureau of Information Technology (BIT) templates. • Test nightly jobs • Schedule nightly jobs within DAVE at Go-Live Required Skills: * Transact SQL * SQL Server – Data Transformation Services (DTS) * SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) 2005 * MS Access * MS Excel * Production Database Tuning * Excellent Verbal Communication Skills * Excellent Written Communication Skills * Create Documentation   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
