The duties of this position can be broad and may include such tasks as troubleshooting network systems (LAN/ WAN/ wire less) and other devices, such as servers and networked printers; assisting with enterprise level systems and devices; adding and removing individuals from the list of authorized users, archiving files, overseeing password protection and other security measures, monitoring usage of shared resources, and handling malfunctioning equipment. The Network Analyst will be responsible for working on projects, systems, and/or issues of medium to high complexity, and will be expected to provide daily operations support, maintenance, administration and reporting for components related to the networking infrastructure. This position requires ownership of complex issues to support Department business. 5 Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience. 6 Experience 1. Must have experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2012r2. Knowledge and experience with Windows Server 2016 is a plus. 2. Must understand local area networks and how they interconnect with endpoint devices. 3. Experienced in network communications, including TCP/IP and DNS, CIFS file sharing and NTFS permissions. 4. 3 to 5 years of IT work experience in infrastructure/network environments in systems operations, support, maintenance and administration. 5. Experience in Network Performance Tuning, LAN Knowledge, Network Design and Implementation, Problem Solving, Strategic Planning, Multi-tasking, Quality Focus, Coordination, Technical Understanding, Quick Study, Technical Zeal. 6. Experience in documenting processes, workflows, and diagraming networks. 7. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of Florida Department of Transportation systems and applications. 7 Primary Job Duties/ Tasks 1. Concentration and desire to work in desktop support (not infrastructure or networking) 2. Configure and deployment of Information Technology resources. Includes, but is not limited to desktop, laptops, handhelds, printers, mobile devices. 3. Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, using proven troubleshooting procedures 4. Assist in coordinating audio visual setup and video conference support 5. Assist with annual inventory scanning and equipment surplus 6. Install, configure, and update software 7. Participate in team projects, meetings and assignments 8. Responsible for reading and following the Departments Procedures and Policies 9. Responsible for understanding and enforcing the Departments Policies and Procedures 10. Responsible for documenting solutions to Technology issues 11. Responsible for traveling to remote sites to resolve IT related issues and/or to deploy resources 12. Perform other related duties as assigned 13.
