POSITION: MIDDLEWARE WEB/MOBILE ENGINEER

LOCATION: CINCINNATI, OH

CONTRACT-TO-HIRE (AFTER 6 MONTHS) - Must be eligible to work in the United States. No visa sponsorships available at this time.

RATE: $55-$60/hr.

Candidates MUST have proficient communication skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary focus of this position is to provide architecture, engineering and operational guidance and execution for Middleware Web and Mobile Internet facing services. This role is responsible for the design, installation, configuration, and operational maintenance of various web and mobile systems. The successful candidate will perform architecture, installation, administration, configuration, and tuning of Java based software applications, create and maintain deployment scripts, and jobs, plan and implement system and application enhancements, upgrades and patches.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1-3 years of experience administering Tomcat Containers
1-3 years of experience with Apache, Nginx, or IHS (IBM HTTP Server)
1-3 years of experience with Linux OS (Red Hat/ Cent OS )
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
Experience with on premise cloud offerings a plus
Experience with Apache Cassandra and other NoSQL databases technologies is a plus, but not required
Ability to work 24x7 on call rotations
