This role will be responsible for the engineering, implementation and administration aspects of the enterprise TSM and Legato Networker environments and should have a strong storage infrastructure background including file services, TCP/IP networking fabric, administration, storage provisioning, DR, capacity management lifecycle and appropriate records are maintained to industry and corporate standards. You will also be responsible for ongoing improvement of processes and applying best practices for the environment. Key Accountabilities: Install, build and maintain the TSM and Legato environments. Adhere to corporate and department standards. Monitoring, alerting and reporting performance of the TSM and Legato environment Maintain awareness of new developments for software and server technologies Develop and automate processes to expedite and streamline workloads Perform general backup system administration duties Respond to and perform advanced troubleshooting of production, and pre-production issues Contribute to the escalation communications and participate in timely restoration of service for planned and unplanned changes Work tickets including root causes for not meeting services levels and recommended actions to improve performance Follow ITIL service management standards by submitting proper incident, problem, service and change requests through the MAXIMO system in a compliance environment such as SSAE16 Complete, or contribute to shift turnover and weekly status reports including metrics of performance. Ability to recommend and provide metrics in status or ad-hoc reports in response to breakdowns and stakeholder requests Participate in a geographically dispersed 24 x 7 support organization including shift work and off-hours support Participates in weekly team meetings Cross-train and mentor other team members Restore service rapidly, using logical troubleshooting methodologies and tools Required Core Competencies: Accountability: Able to take responsibility for all work activities and personal actions Fostering Teamwork: The ability and desire to work cooperatively with others on a team; demonstrate interest, skill and success in getting groups to learn to work together Personal Credibility: Demonstrated concern that one be perceived as responsible, reliable, and trustworthy Results Orientation: The ability to focus on the desired results of ones own or ones team work; setting challenging goals, focusing effort on the goals, and meeting or exceeding them Written Communication: The ability to express oneself clearly in business writing Required Qualifications: Three (3) plus years of experience and technical proficiency in TSM or Legato management. Three (3) plus years of experience in troubleshooting all aspects of TSM or Legato Three (3) plus years of supporting a Windows server environment.
