Software engineers typically are involved in maintenance (including production support), enhancement and development work. Software engineers have a range of skills and knowledge of current technologies. Agency Expected Deliverables Experience: Four plus years of analysis, design, and coding related to Tableau and integrating data to/from other data systems Education: Four-year college degree or equivalent technical study. Description of skills and knowledge include: • Design Tableau to work with other applications, specifically Ivanti Service Manager, to produce customized reports according to customer requirements and standards • Gather and interpret user requirements into design specifications • Develop system specifications and interfaces • Determine accurate time estimates and schedule for work • Code enhancements and/or required fixes to existing reports • Able to present and explain resulting reports to staff and customers • Able to create and provide content for operational documentation to IT technical resources and testers • Able to create test scenarios and use test scenarios to test application code and reports created • Able to provide knowledge transfer of code built to state employees and/or other contract staff Specific Skills Required (Programming languages, databases, operating systems, etc.) Production Support /Job Specific Skills: • Deep understanding of and experience with Tableau • Proven ability to integrate Tableau with servers and databases to obtain and/or produce data • Proven ability to create custom reports • Familiar with the Agile software development life cycle and/or hybrid versions of iterative development is desired but not required • Working experience with Ivanti products and databases is highly desirable but is not required. • Since this placement will be working remotely, the ability to work with a virtual team during an 8-hour shift between the daily business hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6 p.m., MST (USA), Monday – Friday is required • Must have excellent English written and verbal skills for documentation and virtual meetings   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
