Key occupational functions are Coordinates relationships with Faculty & University/School Administrators to assure that data management services are responsive to the needs and policies of the academic community. Accountable for the security of student data as guided by Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) regulations. Manages all functional staff resources in the areas of Data Reporting, Compliance, Document Imaging Technology, and Analytics to support data needs of school liaisons, academic departments and other constituents on campus. Designs and develops standardized operational, management, and ad hoc reports; prepares reports fulfilling the requirements of federal, regional, and state agencies and other external organizations; and works with user community to understand reporting needs. Prepares, extracts, and validates student data for Federal Reporting to Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), US News & World Report, Common Data set and other data organizations in accordance with state, federal and University guidelines. Develops and performs audits to verify accuracy of standard institutional reports and integrity of data produced by office processes. Manages support, compliance and regulatory guidelines for all state and federal programs and oversees development and delivery of annual audits and training for these programs. Serves as Liaison with the Financial Aid Office to supply data needed for auditing purposes in compliance with our accrediting agency Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). Serves as a resource person in areas of data management and reporting, as well as a representative on University committees. Qualifications: possess extensive experience understanding an integrated, relational database, preferably PeopleSoft Student Information Systems. Strong preference towards knowledge of data gathering methodology and data input; management, communications, networking, analysis, and relational database architecture; operating systems and scripting languages; descriptive statistics; SPSS statistical software; software reporting tools; and/or Microsoft Office suite of programs. Candidates should competence in one or more programming languages.
