Job Description : Position Summary The Market Risk Consultant is responsible for the monitoring of market risk exposure presented by clients and for the review of documentation provided to external clients and regulators. Specific Responsibilities * Develop a strong understanding of clients business and risk profiles in order to respond to risk related support and inquiries; * Provides support for the preparation of responses to audit inquiries and produce management related reporting; * Assess intraday activity to ensure the organization and our members are within our proper margin thresholds; * Analyze client trading activity to assess overall portfolio risk and ensure appropriate haircuts are being applied to both the portfolio and individual securities; * Prepare commentary on portfolios that break pre-existing thresholds describing the behavior and make recommendations to management of action to be taken; * Perform research necessary to support analyzing different margining methodologies; * Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately.
