Rbase is a DOS based, relational database application that currently runs on Windows XP computers and servers. Due to security and confidentiality concerns regarding the data that is housed in this database, the federal government and Oregons own data security team has labeled operating Rbase 3.1 a security risk. Rbase 3.1 will not run within a Windows 7 operating system and all of AMHs computers will be upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7 by the Fall of 2015. Technical Skills: *Applications Systems Analyst III: *Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support an organizations application systems. Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. May be expected to write documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections. Writes manuals for users to describe installation and operating procedures. Requires a bachelors degree in a related area and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Must have a working knowledge of relational databases and client-server concepts. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of Contractor staff. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. *Rbase Developer: This work has four aspects: *Discovery and analysis of AMH Contracting Unit Rbase 3.1. *Development in Rbase 9.5 Extreme, the current contracting application functions utilized by the AMH Contracting Unit, Financial Services, and Oregon Information Systems staff. *Migration of data from the current system to the new system in Rbase 9.5 Extreme. *Training and support once the upgrade has been completed.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
