This position will collaborate with the DoIT Vendor Management and Purchasing teams to accomplish a variety of tasks and agendas. This individual will utilize project coordination skills to drive work with DHS, and other agencies. Key is the ability to understand and work with State Fiscal Accounting personnel, business unit sponsors/owners, and project team members (Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, Quality Assurance Testers, Enterprise Architects, etc.), as well as external IT vendors. The vendor/project coordinator will be supporting Vendor management with reviewing SOWs, communicating with Vendors, researching procurement vehicles available to the State, and working with internal and external departments and individuals to coordinate IT discussions with DHS IT vendors. Essential is the ability to multi-task on continually changing and morphing priorities as prescribed by leadership in response to department and legislative direction. Requirements: • Experience reviewing and redlining Technology Statements of Work • Technology specific contract experience to assist IT Vendors with contractual obligations and rules. • Demonstrated experience coordinating and managing relationship with business users, stakeholders, and IT Vendors. • Experience working with Government Entities for procurement • Extensive experience with planning, managing, and tracking multiple initiatives. • Strong process development skills, with the ability to learn and understand concepts to interpret, document and formalize procedures • Experience researching and identifying new procurement vehicles available State Agencies • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet aggressive timelines • Ability to navigate and respond appropriately to political challenges • State / Federal Government Appropriations Experience is highly desired.
