Candidates must have access to a web-camera equipped computer at the scheduled interview for interviews not conducted in person. NOTE: This position requires a fingerprint background check to be completed prior to hire. A Felony and certain Misdemeanor Convictions will automatically terminate the PSO and the contractor will not be allowed to work at ITD. The individual(s) will be expected to provide day-to-day support for the development of the DMV Modernization system. Project work would be focused on data de-duplication and data quality utilizing Structured Query Language (SQL), MicrosoftSQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and various data validation tools and sources. This work would involve participating in Agile development methodology to include story development and task completion. Additional work would involve creating, modifying and optimizing SSIS packages, stored procedures and other work associated with supporting an enterprise class database infrastructure. Daily operations would include the normal aspects associated with support and enterprise class database system to include daily maintenance (backups/restores/log monitoring), troubleshooting, deployment of new packages and databases. Prior experience with the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) will be heavily considered with this position. NOTE: Funding for this PSO has not been appropriated for the entire duration as stated in the Estimated Completion Date. Continued execution under this PSO is contingent on additional funding and/or appropriations Agency Expected Deliverables Participate in bi-weekly Sprint planning sessions • Complete agreed upon tasks in the agreed upon schedule • Act as a team member within an integrated development team and/or member of a service delivery team • Delivery of high quality and functional software, scripts, SSIS packages, and C# source code • Provide mentoring to other team members Specific Skills Required (Programming languages, databases, operating systems, etc.) Prior experience with ITD will be heavily considered with this position • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2012 to current • Experience utilizing SQL for maintenance and troubleshooting • Experience utilizing Red Gate for SQL source control • Experience writing, maintaining and optimizing SSIS packages and/or Stored Procedures • Experience in data architecture to include: • Identifying existing data structures to be used in development • Optimizing existing data structures utilizing best practices • Deprecating duplicate or unnecessary data structures • Preferred experience with programming in C# and .Net • Preferred experience in Agile Development • Preferred experience maintaining and utilizing source control systems such as Microsoft TeamFoundation Server (TFS) • Experience with database normalization and database schemas • Experience with Disk storage theory as it relates to database implementations • Experience analyzing data to identify quality issues and proposing innovative solutions for resolving them. • Experience analyzing Extract Transform Load (ETL) packages and proposing innovative solutions for enhancing their performance. • Desired experience with Experian Data Quality tools such as Pandora, Name Search and Correct Address or equivalent   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
