Wireless problems Firewall rule changes – Cisco ASA or comperable Verifying desktop connections Interacting with employees at all locations in CA. Cisco Certification: Not important, but CCNA would be nice. Some Travel Location: Downtown Oakland, CA Title: Junior Network Engineer Team: Network Support Team (4 people, other 3 are much more senior) Contract: 6 months, possibility to extend or convert. Responsibilities: More focused on support, design experience isnt necessary. Troubleshooting, equipment configuration, installation. Making DNS entries Firewall rule changes Remote access and wireless VPN issues. Load balancers/traffic managers (“nice to have”) Replacing cables Communication skills. “Desktop Support”-like, walking around helping people in 4 buildings in DT Oakland, data center in Berkeley. Remote support for offices in Riverside and Sacramento. Qualifications: 2-3 years of experience “would be nice” Familiarity with Cisco Network Equipment Ideal: Load Balancers, Traffic Managers (they use: Citrix Netscaler) Wireless Firewall (Cisco ASA) Similar non-Cisco tech is okay. i.e. F5 Load Balancers Juniper, Dell products.
