Manage and coordinate the IT systems used in the assembly and final test lines.? The main focus is monitoring, trouble shooting, improving the process control systems and their associated data interfaces. Role Expectations:? Provides daily operational support for: •?Process control systems •?Demand coordination to ensure production and quality needs are met •?Second level support for final test line factory automation systems •?Update, implementation, and commissioning support •?Project work and application development (local and international) •?Develop a deep understanding of the process control environment •?Knowledgebase documentationPosition Responsibilities: •?Ensure the line process control systems perform according to operational objectives including but not limited to product specification, governmental regulations, process performance targets, and internal and external customer requirements •?Provide technical clarification and resolve problems that impede production •?Gather, analyze, document, and program changes/enhancements in conjunction with local departments such as planning, production, quality, logistics and maintenance.? The main focus is on conception, programming, and implementation of databases and applications •?Train IT automation 1st level support team in troubleshooting issues affecting the final test systems •?Coordinate and manage IT projects for final test line and related equipment or interfaces •?Create IT concepts for effective business processes for the final testing line •?Document problems and solutions in ZF standard systems •?Support TS16949 processes •?Support plant-wide 5S activities by maintaining an orderly work area compliant with 5S requirements •?Travel locally as required •?Coordinate with the workplace infrastructure organization (WIO) to provide the necessary IT infrastructure to the production areas. Essential Skills and Experience: •?Bachelors degree in computer science, electrical engineering, industrial automation, or related degree •?3-6+ years of directly related Information Technology experience. •?Project experience in implementing IT systems and project management methods •?Knowledge of industrial business processes, particularly the automotive industry •?Proficient in database technology, such as Microsoft SQL Server, and in the creation of data models •?Siemens PLC programming and interface experience (including related applications) is a plus •?Programming skills in C and C++ as well as object-oriented programming like .NET or Java •?Solid knowledge of MS Windows Server •?Knowledge of Citrix XenApp Server systems is a plus •?Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with the ability to think logically and analytically •?Experience working in teams •?Ability to advise non-technical customers on technical issues •?Ability to manage national and international projects at other locations •?Must be proficient with English language skills Preferred Skills and experience: •?Organizational and Task Management skills •?Solid knowledge of web based technologies •?German language skills a plus   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
