Client has an opportunity for a Sr Java Engineer role in the Greater Boston or Greater Raleigh area. This is a 6+ month contract position and the pay rate is flexible depending on experience. Define, maintain, and support Java development environment and best practices, such as Maven, Sonar, and other Open Source tools. Assist in identification, isolation, resolution, and communication of problems within the production and nonproduction environment and perform troubleshooting. Perform code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing using Open Source frameworks. Provide mentorship to junior team members. Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives. Required Skills: 1. 5+ years of experience with Java & Node 2. Front End experience: HTML, CSS/SASS, Angular 3. Spring MVC / Spring Core or Spring Boot 4. Web Services (REST/SOAP) 5. CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Maven, uDeploy Desired Skills (not required but candidate will have exposure to these skills in this role): 1. AWS or Azure 2.
