We have a 30-month project with our client in Albany, NY that requires an Oracle MS/SQL Database Administrator, Expert Expert-level Database Administrator for Oracle and MS/SQL database environment Day-to-Day Tasks include, but not limited to: Administer Oracle Database (11g) servers including executing and verifying routine management jobs such as regular backups and applying patches, updates, and upgrades to newer versions. Administer Oracle Forms and Reports version 10 including executing routine management including executing and verifying routine management jobs such as regular backups and applying patches, updates, and upgrades to newer versions. Administer Microsoft SQL servers and server clusters including executing and verifying routine management jobs such as regular backups and applying patches, updates, and upgrades to newer versions. Troubleshoot operational and performance issues on Oracle Database, Oracle Forms and Reports and Microsoft SQL servers. Work with application developers to create or update PL-SQL code used within existing applications and to migrate date from Oracle to Microsoft SQL Server (MS/SQL). Mandatory Qualifications: Uses specialized software to store and organize data, which may include capacity planning, installation, configuration, database design, migration, performance monitoring, security, and troubleshooting, as well as backup and data recovery 84+ Months, Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
