Also co-ordinate and lead discussions with Sitecore to resolve issues - Configuring log levels, log analysis, performance monitoring (in general and Sitecore specific) - Handling infrastructure related changes and requests from various stakeholders and project teams - Handling crisis situations and providing guidance to reduce the impact of change avoiding downtimes etc. - Keeping up-to date on new Sitecore releases, understanding and recommending migration paths from current Sitecore deployments - Come up with best practices for deployment (package creation and verification), configuration etc. to ensure smooth Sitecore deployments (considering multi-site Sitecore deployment architecture) Additional details :- Tasks Responsibility Setting up new enviroment - Verify the new server configuration is correct & meets solution or platform requirments - Sitecore application-specific configuration on new VMs - DB configuration, including clustering and fail- over, on new DB nodes (should go to CTL) - e.g. create new UAT environment, scale up Production with new clustering design Capacity Mgmt - Planning - Monitoring the servers and provide regular operation report - Recommend hardware optimization ideas - Requires application specific expertise Solution Architecture Optimization -Sitecore internal config (e.g. publish strategy, caching settings, Sitecores .config files) - Applying indurstry best practices and benchmarking Platform Architecture -Bring in industry best practice -Optimize platform arch. Design driven by biz requirment - e.g. new landscape design in US to cluster Prod and UAT, Solr / Coveo design, future migration to Cloud Wicked problem solving - Help resolve wicked problems with P&G platform support team - Interface with Sitecore, escalate issue - Implementing workarounds for issues that cannot be resolved immediately - Receiving patches from Sitecore for product issues, implementing these by deploying to all instances Upgrade projects, patching - e.g. Sitecore upgrade to 7.2 (and beyond); Solr testing - Setting up test environment - Executing upgrade scripts and fixing related issues - Coordinating testing with ABB dev teams Platform standards - Document standard configurations for instances, DBs, etc. - Point of contact for tech questions from tech agencies - Tech council input Certification - Sitecore technical relationship management - Monitor Sitecore certification at the tech agencies, set goals and maintain roadmap "   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
