Description: REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: • 5 + years direct experience in software development management. • Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of software solutions. • Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies. • Proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of best practices to guide his/her development team on issues related to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical information and software systems. • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language. • Highly self-motivated and directed. • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. • Technically fluent in programming languages, including C, Java. • Knowledge of database design and file management techniques. • Knowledge of Service Oriented Architectures and Web based Architectures PREFERRED SKILLS: • Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures, project lifecycle models, etc. 2+ years of people management experience. REQUIRED EDUCATION: Four-year college diploma or university degree in computer systems design or computer science Position Responsibilities • Work with product owners and business analysts to determine requirements and propose approaches to address users needs. • Analyze requirements to determine approach/proposed solution. Design and Build Solutions using relevant programming languages. • Work with backend team to ensure the dependencies are addressed. • Lead the Android team to implement the features. • Work together with QA team to thoroughly test solutions using relevant approaches and tools. • Problem solve to address development and production issues. • 10+ years related experience, 5 years of Android development experiences. • Team leading experiences • Good communication skills • Technically fluent in programming languages, including Java, Kotlin. • Familiar with the Android build and release process • Familiar with the Android develop concepts, and keep track of the latest Android technologies developments • Familiar with Jetpack, Volley, Dagger, Retrofit. • Hands-on software troubleshooting experience. • Experience with specific phases of the software development life cycle including requirements gathering, requirements analysis, design, development, and test. • Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies. • Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products. • Highly self-motivated and directed. • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
