Job Description Administrator: Troubleshooting, WebSphere, JBoss, Monitoring Scripting

Note: Able to work on a subvend basis, but preference towards candidates who work directly on your W2.

Candidate must be our W2 Employee.

Job Description:

Position Details

This team supports 60 products and this project in particular will support WebSphere upgrade from WebSphere 8.5 to 9.0 and WebSphere 8.5. This person needs to have a basic understanding of scripts and will be working with Linux command skill set. They will be working closely with application folks, so needs to have good communication and be a team player as they will be working with a team daily.

Day to Day Responsibilities

Installing and configuring WebSphere application

Performance tuning with new and existing WebSphere applications

Troubleshooting and problem determination to find the root cause of issues

Scripting or automation capabilities

Top Qualifications

WebSphere 8.5/ WebSphere liberty

Web server

Scripting experience/knowledge

J boss Application server

Experience with Monitoring Tools

Client Job Details

Responsible for a broad range of tasks including the administration, installation and configuration of various middleware products like WebSphere, Jboss, and Web Server. The individual maintains support processes, identifies issues, resolves problems, work with other IT departments (Database Administrators, Security, Unix Administrators, Application developers)

Knowledge and Skills

· Experience working with the latest versions of IBM WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere Liberty, Apache, Tomcat, Jboss, IBM HTTP server.

· Hands on experience with administering and architecting middleware environments, including new installation, upgrade existing infrastructure, deployments and configurations.

· Excellent root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills.

· Scripting experience
