Requirements: Application Packaging / UAT Works with application package requestor to determine requirements Works independently with guidance from higher level staff or management Creating Windows Installer packages for a migration to Windows 7 using AdminStudio, InstallShield, or other tools Creating Custom Actions for Install, Repair and Uninstall actions Recommending products that could be standardized and Reviewing Windows 7 compatibility Performing software installation scripting, packaging, testing application with client to confirm the install meets their needs Packaging application according to specs and diagnosing software installation errors & performing corrective actions Compiling final application package testing and package signoff Qualifications/Target Skills: Experience in Application Scripting, Packaging/ Re-packaging, script customizations, Microsoft Installer (MSI) technology and Application Distribution technologies which includes experience in the use of Install Shield , PowerShell, VB Script, Batch script, and Software Distribution system experience including SCCM and Altiris Understand and apply diverse software engineering principles and best practices in areas of software installers. Experience which includes planning, testing, implementing and problem solving in an Information Systems environment Effective analytical, planning, organizational, problem determination and resolution process skills Ability to exercise initiative, good judgment, and make sound decisions Ability to execute the problem determination and resolution process effectively Ability to differentiate and create both 32bit & 64bit application packages Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills for both technical and non-technical personnel Windows XP and Windows 7 expertise (full knowledge of OS operations, Registry, DLLs) Excellent analytical skills and ability to apply them towards the investigation of existing installations Desired Skills: Proficient in the use of PC applications used to create documentation for project management functions and documentation used to provide status requirements and recommendations to management SQL Server or Sybase database support writing database backup and recovery scripts. MSBUILD INSTALLSHIELD, WINDOWS INSTALLER, MSI PACKAGES, POWERSHELL SCRIPTING Deployment of packages to Windows XP/7 environments Experience with Application Virtualization (APP-V, Citrix) Knowledge of 32-bit and 64-bit application packaging is required along with strong application troubleshooting skills and knowledge of Microsoft App-V is desirable Knowledge of Microsoft VMware Workstation Working experience with Application Model in MS Configuration Manager 2012 Working experience with Windows Application Compatibility Tool (ACT)and ability to create and apply SHIMs   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
