Client is looking to utilize the right resource on change requests that range from problem tickets (quick fixes) to major enhancements. These positions will test applications that support Child Welfare, Child Care Assistance, Food Assistance, Family Investment Program, Medicaid, and Child Support. In addition to testing duties, the agency is looking for light Business Analyst duties, which will mostly involve gathering requirements around production issues and light enhancements. Client is in the process of vetting automating testing regression tools. These individuals will join the team in vetting the solutions mid-stream and help the team come to a determination which product will be chosen. Client primarily has two environments: Legacy Cobol/CICS/IDMS/VSAM Mainframe systems and client server/Web .NET systems. Most systems are centralized but there are distributed systems as well that are used in field offices and DHS owned and operated facilities. Many systems are home grown while some systems use third-party applications. Due to the COVID pandemic, these positions will work remotely with the development teams through Microsoft Teams. However, it is unclear if this will be a permanent, so it is expected that the candidates are located in the Des Moines Metro area as to be able to come to the office as needed. Required Skills: • Play critical role in testing products to verify against specifications and validating product feature concepts for future and current requirements using manual testing processes and automated regression testing suites. • Write scripts for automated regression testing. • Maintain documentation in study library or tools provided for knowledge management and future bench marking. • Serves as a resource and/or participant in business process re-design activities. Assists the customer in determining if and how system enhancements may improve process-flow and business function. • Perform some or all of the following types of testing: user acceptance, functional, regression and usability • Test not only the technology, but also the process and role changes • Validate existing to be processes as part of documentation process and updating documentation of the changed business processes as needed. • Understanding business requirements and system documentation, as well as contributing to end-user and documentation libraries. • Be a collaboration point with system development team and client-facing teams to ensure clarification of requirements and translate into needs for product features. • Works with quality assurance and programming teams to ensure changes are migrated into production correctly. • Interacts with technical teams and SMEs to clarify business requirements.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
