Project Background: This project provides the opportunity to fully remediate high-priority information security vulnerabilities within the customer-facing Selling and Pricing systems. These security vulnerabilities were identified through the use of the Fortify code analysis tool as well as through an Application Vulnerability Test conducted subsequently by Verizon Security. Key vulnerabilities, reflecting risk from a data integrity and application controls perspective, include: -SQL & LDAP Injection -Force-Browsing -Cross-Site Scripting -Denial of Service -Log Forging -Privacy Violation Altogether, this project will remediate approximately 2,300 uniquely identified issues within the Selling & Pricing applications. Risk Avoidance The Selling/Pricing applications, together, are a mission-critical customer facing system supporting the purchase of, on average, $20-30B in monthly purchase volume for 2011. The remediation in scope for this project will reduce risk of business disruption resulting in financial and/or reputational impacts in the event that the applications are compromised via the exploitation of these security vulnerabilities. Solution Approach The solution approach is to execute two separate releases, one focused on the Pricing Manager Application (PMA) in the Pricing domain and another focused on the Selling System. The proposed plan is to deliver the Pricing release in Q1 2012 and the Selling release in Q2, 2012, with the timing of the latter aligned as a follower to the Rules Management/MISMO Release 1 (RMM R1). The success criteria for both projects will be Fortify scans of both applications that are clean with respect to Critical and High issues. Duties and Responsibilities Duties will include, but not limited to the following: Creating test plans, test scenarios and other testing artifacts in accordance with client requirements. Creating UAT test cases based on business requirements and technical Specifications Defining test data requirements required to execute the UAT test cases Executing UAT as required for PE Pricing (PMA) and Selling System Identifying and documenting defects Working closely with developers, system testers, and business analysts to resolve QA issues Reporting results and status, as appropriate to project leads Experience and Qualifications Familiarity with best- practice testing processes and mythologies. Ideally with regards to user acceptance testing. Specific experience with client or Financial Company is preferred. Extensive testing experience with complex calculations.
