SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR: Unix scripting; monitoring/alert scripts Seeking Local, Bay Area Candidates.....Job is in Fremont, CA The Sr. Systems Administrator would play a key role in the implementation of high availability infrastructure for a new electronic medical record installation. Summary: Provide Systems Administration tasks and develop monitoring & alerting scripts on various platforms. Install and configure appropriate monitoring tools on the different platforms. Create monitoring dashboards and define and document monitoring & alerting processes. Develop remote procedure calls, web services and other API as needed to perform the above tasks and assist with infrastructure performance testing setups. Collaborate with the various platform experts in developing the necessary scripts and programs and performing the required configurations for monitoring & alerting and performance testing. Experience and Skills: 8+ years of experience working on various platforms such as UNIX, Wintel and VMware in technical development, database, OS and systems administration, technical implementation and/or level 3 support roles. Expertise with installation and configuration of monitoring tools and performance analysis of infrastructure components; knowledge of network performance considerations is required. High degree of independent and creative thinking ability combined with the ability to understand complex technical setup requirements spanning multiple infrastructure components. High level of comfort and adaptability working on different infrastructure components and databases. Experience with implementation of enterprise-wide monitoring & alerting architecture is a plus. Experience working with Epic EHR application workflows is a plus. Experience with cache database and/or cache programming is a plus. 2+ years of remote procedure calls, web services or other application programming interface (API) development experience in distributed computing environments comprising Wintel, VMware and UNIX; RPC programming experience using UNIX Rstatd service highly preferred.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
