This role requires someone who is capable of finding solutions to complex problems. Duties and responsibilities Under the guidance of an Architect, identify deficiencies in existing product and suggest countermeasures. Provide alternative solutions and a pros-and-cons analysis. Decompose larger tasks into smaller traceable ones. Produce reliable Level of Effort estimates for smaller tasks. Implement chosen solution in Agile Development environment. Produce necessary documentation to reflect changes. Required skills Software Development experience in C++ for UNIX. Recent experience and proficiency in Java GUI development 5+ years of Telecom experience (2G/3G mobile networks). Knowledge of memory and performance profiling tools for Solaris 10 on SPARC. Extensive experience in application optimization and debugging. Experience in scripting (Python, Perl, shell). Fluency with version control tools (CVS, Subversion). Desired skills Good knowledge of advanced data structures. Experience with Qt and Tcl/Tk. Experience in design of event-driven applications.
