Job Summary Under general direction, designs, codes, installs and maintains customer solutions. • Responsible for providing advice to analysts and other build team personnel regarding solution design specifications. • Work with various teams in the creation and maintenance of project activities, work estimates, functional and specifications, and project schedules/plans. • Responsible for providing assistance on or conducting the more complicated walk throughs of technical and operational features, functions, and attributes of a new or existing solutions. • Responsible for the resolution of complicated systems software support issues related to application design specification for new solutions or enhancements. • Consults with internal and external clients to evaluate solution building needs. • May develop and conduct systems training. • May participate in systems demonstrations to internal and external clients. • Work with various teams in the creation and maintenance of project activities, work estimates, functional and specifications, and project schedules/plans. • Analyzes and manipulates data files and formats. • Prepares system, solution and requirement documentation. • Assists less experienced analysts and programmers with complex issues. Decision Making/Problem Solving • Applies existing guidelines and procedures to make varied decisions within a department. • Uses sound judgment and experience to solve moderately complex problems. • Uses some independent judgment to identify problems and recommend solutions. Resources Managed • Provides some supportive advice with limited impact on the use of resources. • Impact on resources is limited to assigned department. • Plans events that occur weekly. Technical Skills/Knowledge • One position requires extensive understanding and experience with C# and Micro Focus COBOL in a Windows environment. Print industry and Printnet experience is a plus. • The second position requires extensive understanding of VB, COBOL and SQL. Print industry and Printnet experience is a plus. • Work is somewhat complex and requires moderate analytical ability. • Acts as in a senior or lead capacity by assigning and reviewing the work of others. Description The Senior Programmer / Analyst position is responsible for leading, architecting and directing the construction and deployment of business solutions built using the companys FOCUS Framework toolset. Deployment projects are customer driven for on boarding new customers as well as converting legacy solutions into the new FOCUS Framework. At a summary level, the projects will consist of gathering and understanding the business requirements for a solution, the design of the solution taking into account the FOCUS Framework capabilities as well as operational needs and capabilities, building and delivering the target solution or platform.
