An understanding of databases, how they work, and basic inputs and outputs that can be derived from them, is required. Good analytical, problem solving, and debugging skills. Able to clearly articulate and document debugging strategy and status on specific problems. This skill should be proven through discussion of techniques used in troubleshooting; methodology knowledge takes precedence here over specific tool information. Good working knowledge of PC architecture would be an advantage. Test Methodology- the candidate for this position should be able to discuss, and present in written form, configuration matrices and test plan inputs which offer highest coverage in timeliest manner for products through their queue. The superior candidate will be able to discuss white box (logic path) versus black box testing methodologies, including statement, decision and condition coverage, and boundary value analysis.
