The infrastructure will support internal and remote staff ability to run applications to perform their daily job functionality. Background: Experis supports a large healthcare client who is seeking a Lead Systems engineer to perform systems analysis, design, project management and technical leadership and implementation functions for the clients complex, heterogeneous Information Technology computing environments. The candidate should have extensive experience implementing and maintaining a Virtual Desktop infrastructure running in a Microsoft Windows 2008/2012 operating system server environment. Candidate should have strong experience with VMWare Horizon View 6.x virtual desktops and knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7. Implement and support Liquidware Labs Profile Unity profile management solution. Candidate should have a strong understanding of Microsoft Active Directory. Operations support functions in a fast-paced, time-to-market-driven environment. Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills a must. Demonstrated experience in the following is strongly preferred: Knowledge of Storage Area Networks to include thin provisioning. Understanding of remote access technologies, network topology, change control processes, security best practices and disaster recovery. Tasks: Administration and support the design of VMware View-based VDI infrastructure including vSphere hosts, user profile management, and client backup solutions. Create virtual desktop templates based on interviews with customers. Implement thin client provisioning solution based on Windows Embedded for client deployments. Build-out future VMware View VDI systems including work at two locations in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Document Virtual desktop infrastructure. Assist with developing and documenting standard operating procedures related to environment and support of infrastructure. Troubleshooting any issues with any component of VMware View. Perform daily maintenance of View environment. Part of a team to create a disaster recovery plan and testing method. Required Skills/Qualifications: College Degree or 8-10 years related work experience, or equivalent total experience. Candidate must have extensive experience in Windows Operating System Platform, Active Directory and group policy. # 1 must have: Complete understanding and direct hands-on experience deploying VMWare View 6.x to 1000 or more customers for an internal/external solution. # 1 must have: Excellent designing and troubleshooting VMWare View persona and windows profile management. Understand security concepts to ensure a secure deployment. # 1 must have: Excellent customer service skillset. Experience implementing Liquidware Labs ProfileUnity for profile management and application deployment. Experience designing and deploying VMware vSphere for VMware View. Experience troubleshooting VMware View and vSphere performance. Proficient knowledge of Sysprep and group policy for Windows 7. Self-motivated, adaptable to change and able to function effectively in a team environment. Excellent written and verbal communications skills should include ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures. Ability to write reports, correspondence and procedures.
