Required Skills: * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Prior experience in identifying, tracking and resolving issues affecting telecom and network applications * Prior experience in developing contingency plans for associated telecom work. * Experience in router VLANS (ex. Cisco/Juniper), switch and IP peripheral device (ex. Digi/RuggedCom) implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting * Experience with 802.11G wireless implementations and support * Experience translating technical terms into laymans language, and communicating both technical and non-technical information orally and in writing. * Experience working with serial communications (RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485) * Experience configuring and supporting dynamic routing protocol Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) * Experience configuring and supporting the exterior gateway protocol known as Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) * Experience working with video encoders/decoders over IP and video control software in web and client server environments. * Prior experience creating and updating subject matter expert documentation for expected application operation and use * Prior experience within a customer service environment providing technical, analytical and diagnostic support * Prior experience assisting in network planning and connectivity for supported applications Desired Skills: * Prior experience with IT customer support in a transportation environment * Prior experience coordinating enhancements for network modernization/improvement * Experience actively participating in analysis and evaluation of emerging hardware standards as they apply to the network and/or related applications.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
