This position requires knowledge and experience of Operational Support and Management of all aspects of Cisco VoIP technologies and possibly UCCE integration. The position requires strong communication skills to interface with the customer and collaborate on setting technical direction and supporting a large Enterprise VOIP network. Participates in a team structure conducive to high performance. Provides technical consulting on IP Telephony system management, tuning and modification of solutions. Provides input to client solutions consistent with client standards and strategy. Collects and determines data from appropriate sources to assist in determining customer needs and requirements. Responds to requests for technical information from customers. Engages in technical problem solving across multiple technologies; often needs to develop new methods to apply to the situation. Participates in Incident troubleshooting activities. Participates in knowledge sharing within a community (e.g. team, practice, or project). Encourages team members support knowledge sharing. Experience Required: 5+ years of relevant professional Cisco Voice senior level experience in an Enterprise VOIP Operations environment, with a vendor or industry certification in the Voice area, essentially CCNP Voice and preferably CCIE Voice. Knowledge and Skills Required: Has sufficient depth and breadth of technical knowledge to support multiple deliverables across a number of network technologies, especially Cisco VOIP within a large Corporate Enterprise. Requires a comprehensive understanding of Cisco CUCM (8.6 or greater), Unity Connection PREFERRED: Cisco Unified SIP Proxy (CUSP), Voice Extensible Markup Gateways (VXML), Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE) and SRST. Requires a strong understanding of the following protocols: SIP, H.323, & MGCP. Preferred: CUSP (Cisco Unified Presence Server). Requires a basic understanding of UCCE and integration of UCCE into a CUCM environment. Knowledge of mobile/ACD agents beneficial. Ability to develop solutions that enhance the availability, performance, maintainability and agility of a customers enterprise VOIP system. Ability to re-use existing experience to develop new solutions for issues in the environment. Possesses an understanding, at a detailed level, of architectural and functional dependencies of technologies in use in the customers Information Technology (IT) / Network environment. Able to communicate with internal and external stakeholders of different levels confidently and professionally.
