SUMMARY The Application Developer II will work with cutting edge technologies to create code according to provided specifications, as well as develop technical design documentation and coding logic flowcharts for our Restaurant Ordering Solutions Development team within the IT department. The position will also encode, test, debug, and document code and procedures. In addition, the position provides technical assistance regarding errors, problems and issues with developed software. FUNCTIONAL SKILLS • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. • Application development methodology experience (Agile, Waterfall) • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and packaged applications • Technical and design documentation skills • Strong relational database and SQL skills (Postgres, Oracle) • Working knowledge of web server infrastructure components (GlassFish preferred) EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATIONS • Bachelors degree required • 4-6 years experience in a Web Development environment, with strong focus on User Interfaces and integration with Business Services • Experience with Core Java ( Java 1.5 and subsequent versions, JUnit test scripts) • Experience with Java Frameworks (Java EE and Spring), and core Enterprise APIs: Web Services (JAX-WS, SOAP/REST), JPA (Hibernate), EJB 3.0, JMS (TIBCO preferred), CDI, Swing, Servlets.
