Candidate must be able to provide senior-level guidance to a diverse audience of stakeholders on IBM WMB/IIB design and implementation considerations. This role requires a seasoned individual who has experience with a variety of enterprise integration technologies, but specifically with IBM products such as: WebSphere Message Broker, IBM WMB/IIB, WSRR, ILog JRules. A history of hands-on development using Message Broker and the latest in Java development tools and methodologies is required. Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment with agile development tools is preferred. Required Skills: 4 year engineering degree or equivalent self-education Strong presentation and communication skills 8+ years of development experience with Java-based web applications 6+ years of development experience with enterprise integration technologies 6+ years web service design and deployment (REST and SOAP) 4+ years of hands-on experience with WebSphere Message Broker / IBM WMB/IIB Applied knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Desired Skills: Understanding of commercial software product development processes. o E.g. Requirements management, program & portfolio management, defect management, test management, source code management, and release management History of participating in an Agile Scrum methodology Deep understanding of REST principles and implementation using JAX-RS Experience with designing software for testability using Guice, JUnit and Mockito Solid understanding of Java dependency management using Maven or Gradle Solid understanding of Extended SQL (ESQL) Understanding of model-driven development techniques Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) with Jazz / OSLC experience a plus Experience with and responsible for: Provide hands-on technical expertise, foundation, and subject matter expertise for ESB architecture utilizing Message Broker: short-term and long-term integration of ESB architectural / integration approaches with the programs Enterprise Architecture Ensure Service implementation consistency, speed of delivery, and promote reuse through creation of reusable middleware assets Provide subject matter expertise based on past experiences of SOA and ESB implementations utilizing Message Broker.
