The System shall be built on “Service-Oriented”architecture. 2.0 Scalable, ReusablePlatform The base System shall be designed with a scalable platform that can accommodate fluctuating transactional load with no decrease in performance. 2.1Configurability 1. Provides configuration of the System so JSND authorized business users may customize according to its needs without further cost. This includes allowing JSND to brand its own System within technical limitations (such as brand logo size) without requiring any code changes. 2. The System shall haveconfigurableCore Modules that can befurther extended using customization. 2.2Modularity 1. The system shall be Modular. Modules may be modified as necessary without impacting the entire system. The Softwarelogic customization capability shall be available in two components: (i) acore component is configured using the JSND specific business rule parameters in a rules engine; and (ii) a custom functional component is deployed and is injected at runtime in its business process workflow. 2. The System shall utilize standard internet, Service Oriented Architectures (“SOA”) and open source protocols in order to achieve maximum interoperability with other ND state agencies and amongst other states and vendors. This also includes interoperability with COTS Systems and other Systems that use standard internet and open source protocols. 3. Assumes industry standards around disaster recovery, security, business continuity, scalability and system administration and shall provide the following in the System: a. Must meet security standards relative to NIST 800-53 and IRS Publication 1075. 5. The System shall: a. Beconfigurableto bemadeaccessiblefrom mobile based browsers. b. Enable data from the System to be pushed and pulled from other enterprise applications using the integration layer messaging. 6. Includes interoperabilitybetweenthevarious Modules to usedocumented standards (i.e.,webservices) andbeconsistentbetweenall Modules formaximum reuseandextensibility. 3.0 ExtensibilityofProposed Design 1. All Modules within theSystemshall beabletoaddnew requirementsandpossibly newModules without disruptinganyotherModules. Theadapters shall be positionedbetween theweb-serviceimplementation andexternal systems,to abstract thecomplexityofconnectivityand data interchangeamongthe heterogeneous systems. 2.
