This position requires an experienced engineer capable of operating with minimal supervision and a strong tendency to independent thought. This position will utilize the candidates strong technical background and analytical skills. Responsibilities The Software Engineer/Web Developer will participate in all tasks related to requirements gathering, analysis, unit testing, and software implementation. The Software Engineer will be required to excel in commercial Web development using a Microsoft.NET architecture in an “N-tier” design. Responsibilities include the following: ü Responsible for translating business requirements documents into software designs consistent with our architecture, coding standards and business goals ü Researches and evaluates alternative solutions, and recommends the most efficient and cost effective solution for the systems/software design and develops software specifications and procedures. ü Responsible for implementation of the software design using the applicable technologies and software languages (software engineering) ü Responsible for staying current on advancements in technology, design practices, and architecture, as well as the latest software and networking processes, tools, and methods, and for making recommendations on how these advances can be applied to the current products and engineering practices ü Responsible for reporting progress against schedule for all assigned tasks on a regular basis QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED ü Minimum of 4 years of related experience, including prior experience as a lead programmer in a commercial software development environment ü Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Related Major ü Enterprise class product-experience, and a track record building large scale web applications ü Expert-level development experience using C#, ASP.NET, SOAP and web services ü Proven experience with Transact-SQL, XML, XSL, and COM component creation in an n-Tier development environment ü Strong object oriented design skills and a track record of delivering designs to market ü Solid oral and written skills ü Demonstrated ability to work independently or within a team environment ü Strong problem solving skills ü Prior experience using formal project management tools and processes is desired   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
