Extensive experience in software development, data processing, and relational databases is required. The position will require the candidate to perform the following duties: Design, develop, test, and release new applications and tools required for security event analysis, incident response, and situational awareness. Collaborate with security analysts, investigators, and engineers to understand their needs and develop solution proposals. Develop a working knowledge of existing threat management systems (such as Splunk and Lancope) and develop integrations with business intelligence tools. Implement improvements to existing applications and tools. Identify, document, track, and drive resolution of software bugs and defects. Manage software upgrades, evaluations of new versions of the software. Job Requirements BS/MS in computer science or related degree with strong competencies in programming, data structures, algorithms, and RDBMS. 3+ years of software development experience using technologies such as Linux, Apache, Oracle, Perl, PHP, Python, Java, Windows, SQL, XML, JSON, HTML, CSS. Highly proficient in Perl, Python, PHP, and other scripting languages. Thorough understanding of relational database design and tuning, SQL. Proficient in developing software in Unix/Linux environments. Strong problem resolution/analytical skills required to understand complex system interactions. Strong work prioritization, planning, and organizational skills. Strong listening, communication (verbal and written) and relationship building skills. Strong documentation skills with attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal oversight throughout the entire lifecycle of application development. In addition to the above requirements, the ideal candidate will also possess the following competencies: Strong Understanding of information security concepts, principles and standards. Experience in network design and support with extensive knowledge of TCP/IP and common protocols.
