Candidate should demonstrate proficiency in the following to perform the job well: 5+ years experience doing SQL server-side programming including stored procedure, view, and DTS/SSIS package creation using Microsoft SQLServer 2008R2 and 2005 5-10 years experience writing technical specifications and user documentation. 5-10 years experience working with users to configure and implement vendor systems including writing interfaces to legacy systems. 5-10 years analyzing and designing complex computer systems. Excellent oral and written communication skills. 5-10 years experience doing Object Oriented Web design and development using ASP, HTML, DHTML, VBScript, JavaScript and XML using VS2003 and VS2008 3+ years experience doing Client-server development using VB or VB.net 4+ years experience coding VB.net and ASP.net, or C# - but will code only in VB.net 3+ years experience designing Object Oriented systems using UML and Agile. 3+ years deploying virtual client applications, and using virtualized servers. The candidate will be expected to implement Itrons MetrixIDR Load Forecasting system which will replace our current MetrixND/MDAAuto system. The candidate will be expected to develop full SDLC Agile-like project documentation, and comply with IT SOX control. The candidate will be responsible for building interfaces to various Con Edison systems and integrate them with Itrons vendor system. The candidate will design VB.net and ASP.net programs as well as convert DTS to SSIS and write new SSIS packages. The candidate will advise on overall technical architecture, will advise on server architecture, and will ensure compliance with SOX controls. The candidate will also develop a virtualization process to deploy the client software using AppV or other virtualization technologies. The candidate will interact directly with users and the vendor, in addition to the technical project lead.
