Significant domain knowledge of vendor products and systems such as Dell/EMC, VMware, IBM, and Cisco. Must have experience in cloud development/administration. Serve as a system architect to plan, capture and manage requirements, analyze, design, test and document systems of moderate complexity and may lead system integration. Achieve continuous improvement in systems development processes. Decisions may have significant impact on cost, schedule, and technical performance. Has worked in a Dev/Ops environment using applicable agiler tools. Overall focus will be on orchestration and automation of the technical environment around VMware, containers, and pod development. Significant experience developing Ansible scripts is required. Act as a mentor to engineers in additional areas including domain knowledge and lessons learned. Lead preparation of proposals and presentations. Estimate, track, and report project costs and schedules while managing scope & risk. May lead cross-functional / domain teams in a Project Engineering role. Provide input to technical & product roadmaps. Responsibilities include: * Ansible developers automate the applications deployment on servers and/or users machines. * Performs requirements analysis to write playbooks * Writes playbooks in YAML * Writes playbooks with different roles for different applications which are reusable * Writes playbooks to: deploy applications, automate patch management, create Infrastructure (Cloud, etc.), backup servers, create user accounts and user privileges, and manage network configurations * Strong written skills to be able to document the work flows * Tests playbooks and fix errors * JiRA experience is a plus * Understanding of Agile/Scrum principles a plus Bachelors Degree in applicable engineering or science field or six years related experience. In addition, should have eight years subject matter expert experience. Skills in Python, Perl, Jenkins, Powershell, Java are desirable.
