Determine and implement solutions with speed and accuracy. Work with vendors and IRC staff in resolving problems. Prepare project plans identifying tasks to be performed, task owners, time lines, and milestones. Submit weekly status reports and attend project status meetings as required. Develop programs and scripts to automate tasks and monitor systems. Hardware/Software Infrastructure Evaluation Responsible for installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and on-going maintenance of software on Windows, UNIX/Linux environment. Establish procedures and standards for disaster recovery. Evaluate various hardware and software solutions to meet business requirements. Develop procedures for implementation of new hardware and software. Design, plan and implement software deployments, migrations and upgrades maximizing security, management and support. Systems Documentation Document systems, processes and procedures for AIG and production control staff. Transfer information to Computer Operations group for supporting production systems. Perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Bachelors degree in computer science, information management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and at least 5 years of experience in data warehousing and Business Intelligence. Must have 5 years experience in administering the entire Business Objects XI Application Suite in a windows environment. Demonstrated experience designing, developing and implementing Business Objects universe and dashboards. Demonstrated experience in optimizing the performance of the enterprise Business Objects environment. Demonstrated ability to quickly diagnose and resolve problems related to web servers, application servers, and BI web applications. Demonstrated experience in development and implementation of Business Objects backup and recovery plans. Demonstrated experience with load balancing products such as F5. Must be able to provide 24x7 on call support as assigned. Excellent interpersonal skills as demonstrated by the ability to interact with others in a consistently positive manner, exercising discretion and tact. Excellent oral communications skills which demonstrate the ability to effectively convey and explain information, liaise with vendors and tactfully deal with diverse people, situations and ideas. Excellent written communications skills which demonstrate the ability to draft clear, concise specifications, documentation and reports. Strong analytical skills as demonstrated by the ability to draw conclusions in a logical, systematic way. Demonstrated ability to plan assignments and monitor performance according to priorities as demonstrated by regularly meeting established deadlines. Demonstrated ability to perform competently under pressure, handling interruptions and changes without losing productivity. Preferred Skills Experience with IBM DB2 Data Warehouse environment. InfoSphere ETL, Data Quality and profiling tool set. Experience with Websphere application server. Strong database design and SQL programming skills.
