This is for a large project with a complex financial application. Duration of contract is 6 months plus. Here is more about the opportunity: Proposed Job Duties 1. Continuously discuss with the business partners, our clients IT development team members, data architects and the cloud SaaS vendor to document the requirements for a data warehouse model design. 2. Analyze the current database structures and interface mechanisms to understand the functionalities. 3. Collaborate with the Business Intelligence Architect and data modelers in the translation of business requirements into a dimensional data model and related metadata. 4. Assist in source definition for the data warehouse attributes. Map attributes to source including identification and documentation of transformation algorithms as necessary. Document findings in the metadata repository. 5. Design ETL jobs to extract data out of vendors cloud system and from the existing EIAS database. 6. Design and implement ETL jobs to feed our clients campuses with EIAS data. 7. Design new reports out of the data warehouse database. Skills Required Bachelors Degree in Information Systems or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. - 5 years demonstrated success in data warehouse design, analysis in large, complex business intelligence systems using best practice, standards, tools and techniques. - Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms and complex business concepts in technical terms. - Intermediate level experience in Kimball Dimensional Design Techniques. - Intermediate level experience in building enterprise conceptual and logical data models, data profiling, data modeling, data mapping and metadata efforts and data quality initiatives. - Intermediate level knowledge of best practices through relevant experience across data-related disciplines and technologies particularly for enterprise wide data architectures and data warehousing, business intelligence and decision support systems. - Experience with IBM DataStage, QualityStage, FastTrack and Business Glossary preferred. - Experience with report development with Crystal Reports or SAP Business Objects   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
