As Senior Data Engineer, you will be building comprehensive processes to extract data from various source systems, transform data according to business rules, and load data into warehouse and presentation models. Position Responsibilities: Participates in all phases of the enterprise data warehouse/business intelligence implementation and support. Maintains and enforces ETL architecture design principles, techniques, standards, and best practices. Participates in requirements gathering and refinement interviews, as needed. Obtains and analyzes requirements to create and implement an ETL architecture/integration solution that is flexible, high performing, scalable, and correctly manages business data/information. Understands ETL architecture, data integration, and infrastructure related risks and develops mitigation plans. Supports and drives the technical design of ETL reference architecture to ensure high data quality, data integration performance, and error recovery/handling. Establishes and maintains comprehensive ETL architecture and data integration documentation, including flows, transformations, error recovery, etc. Interacts closely with business analysis teams and data warehouse/BI teams to ensure understanding of data integration, data architecture, and BI requirements. Position Qualifications: Bachelors degree in a technical discipline, preferably in Computer Science or Software Engineering. 5 years of SQL experience. 3 years of experience in a data warehouse environment. 3 years of experience using ETL tools (Pentaho, Talend, ODI, Informatica, SSIS, PL/SQL, etc.). Strong background and competency in enterprise data warehouse, data architecture, and data modeling patterns, following established Kimball and Inmon methodologies. Understanding of Kimball methodology is required. Experience with AWS, Redshift, Snowflake, and other cloud technologies a plus. Excellent organization, communication, and inter-personal skills. Highly self-motivated, have strong attention to detail, have the ability to ensure consistency and understand the requirements for deviation from the norm. Able to work efficiently both as a member of a team as well as individually.
