Required Skills : * Ability to successfully collaborate with business users, colleagues and strategic partners to process user requirements, assess technology options and recommend solutions. * Proficiency at writing web parts, assemblies and other SharePoint objects that leverage the SharePoint site resources and Shared Services like FAST Search and Managed Metadata. * Knowledge of SharePoint design patterns, Change Management and software engineering. * Will mentor existing development team and help them move from Lotus Notes development to SharePoint development. * Conducts and prepares feasibility studies for new applications or revisions to existing systems. * Creates build schedules, manages source code, coordinates development environment configuration and plans for release and deployment to ensure optimal development or support efforts. * Prepares and presents project proposals to management and colleagues. * Reviews current status of systems applications and prepares recommendations for system improvements. * Monitors design processes and prepare reports on systems projects. * Actively participates in various forums related to process improvement and best practices. * Identifies opportunities and makes recommendations to enhance development practices and processes of the team. * Closely collaborates with team members and mentors less experienced developers. * Displays proficiency in debugging techniques and technical problem analysis. * Demonstrates strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.
