Job Description Analyst: Technical Analyst, MICROSOFT WINDOWS, Active Directory, san SQL Server SDLC

Description:

The contractor will be required to:

Interface and coordinate tasks with internal and external technical resources and stakeholders. Serve as a technical analyst to collaborate with Project Managers and technical staff to develop overall implementation solution plan.
Prepare reports, status updates, white papers, and documentation as required by the ITSD management.
Interact with appropriate systems vendors to gather information, communicate DHCS technical standards and guidelines, review technical designs, and provide analytical support as necessary to resolve issues for all network, server, storage, and software components.
Ensures standards and procedures documentation for ongoing maintenance and operations are in place. Actively seek and evaluate opportunities for process improvement.
Provide support to DHCS management and DHCS staff, and migration project team in the development and documentation of the business requirements, system design specifications, and the development of project approval documents and status reports.
Provide assistance and expertise reviewing information technology and management solutions (dissemination, collection, and storage), and system interfaces and enhancements.
Track system and project deliverables related to the migration project.
Review ITSD standards and guidelines, and provide an overview of the guidelines to non ITSD technical staff.
Coordinate meetings with intra- and inter- departmental workgroups, consultant technical team, and other involved Departments.
Provide briefings as requested to DHCS management with information and recommendations for training and transfer of knowledge to DHCS staff as well as recommendations for inclusion of additional outside Stakeholders impacted or affected by the migration project planning efforts.
Analyze alternative technology solutions, procurement approaches and implementation approaches.
Review the Technical Teams reports on the interdependencies and integration needs of the major business functions (i.e. integration of disparate systems, analysis, reporting, and management information).
Provide a project scope recommendation to DHCS management as needed.
Ensure the Technical Teams activities adhere to DHCS ITSD system change cycle procedures and standards.

V. Contractor Requirements

The contractor must be available onsite (1615 Capital Avenue, Sacramento, CA) for the duration of the contract. The standard work week is defined as 40 hours, five days a week, Monday through Friday, except for state holidays. The number of hours may fluctuate depending on the work load of the planning effort. Any reduction to the standard work week must be agreed upon by the Contract Manager.


Mandatory Qualifications:

Minimum five (5) years of experience with supporting Microsoft Windows and Active Directory.

Minimum five (5) years of experience with storage area networks (SAN), network load balancing, infrastructure load testing, server clustering, database mirroring, and server virtualization.

Minimum five (5) years of experience with supporting and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server, database design, and database optimization.

Minimum five (5) years of experience with application security, data security, Windows security, and network security.

Minimum five (5) years of experience with System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Project Management methodology.



Desirable Qualifications:

Knowledge of enterprise multi-tiered application architecture.

Experience with validating application vulnerabilities at both the architectural level
