Job Title Principal Software Architect / Developer Duration DURATION Completion no later than 15 December 2012 Functional Responsibilities FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Re-engineer an existing software design to re-target the existing C++ application from a C++/WindowsCE/Netbook environment to an Android tablet environment, to include rewriting a custom PCMCIA interface to operate over the data/charge port of the VZW certified Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 4G LTE tablet computer. A) High quality documentation of the existing application is available, to include several thousand test cases. B) Customer C++ programmers, SMEs on the existing program, will be available to participate in the project. Possible utility: documentation, test. They hope to gain some Android programming skill transfer. C) Samsung is involved in developing the hardware that replaces the PCMCIA card such that it operates over their data/charge connector. We will have access to their people, probably in Austin TX, and documentation. D) Mobility PS individual with significant embedded systems and Android programming experience will be available to work with the software team. Proposed use is to work with the Samsung team on the PCMCIA replacement, and other features that may require tight integration with the OS and / or board support package. E) Existing system will be available, as will target platform hardware (please provide a quantity request) F) Existing program is mature, has been accepted by European FDA equivalents, has been in production since 2009 Minimum Qualifications (in no particular order) QUALIFICATIONS TRAVEL % Qualifications: At least 10 years experience with Linux systems architecture and programming At least 10 years experience with Java systems architecture and programming At least 5 years experience systems architecture and programming of mobile applications At least 2 years experience systems architecture and programming of Android applications Travel: If located within commuting distance of San Clemente CA, travel will be up to 10% If located elsewhere, travel to San Clemente CA will be up to 75%   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
