Description:

Sr. Application Developer

Position Overview: As a member of the automation team, you will be responsible for designing and developing tools and frameworks to support and improve efficiency. This involves analyzing a process or project, selecting the best approach for improvement, and implementing the selected approach. This may require you to leverage existing tools or even build new tools or frameworks. Therefore, it is imperative that you are able to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.

Position Description:

Required:

5+ years of programming experience with at least one of the following languages: C++, C# .NET, Java, Visual Basic .NET, VBScript.
Experience in object-oriented programming
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies
Must be able to work under self-direction with minimal supervision and guidance, prioritizing own work and coordinating with other team members and business users.
Excellent analytical, verbal, and communication skills.
Excellent people skills when interacting with developers and users. Must be a team player!
Must be a process & efficiency driven person with strong knowledge and practice of SDLC.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science

Optional:

Technical skills in automation (either using automation tools or programming languages)
Database skills in MS SQL Server or other databases
Master of Science degree in Computer Science
Insurance industry knowledge
