The consultant will provide services for, but not limited to, the following: • Environment support, migration to new hardware platforms and software versions, and architectural planning to these applications and application groups: o Several “off the shelf” Microsoft/Hewlett-Packard/Linux application server applications: ? Enterprise Project Portfolio ? HP Service Manager ( JBOSS ) ? Enterprise Relational Database (ERD) Application Server o SOA Software Service Manager Application ( SMT ) o Oracle Application Server Suites ? Reports and Forms ? SOA Suite (BPEL, BAM, Content Management) to support Filenet Replacement (PSR) o Investments Applications (numerous) o Member Self Service Applications (numerous) o My|CalPERS o Service Request Application o Risk Radar Application o Oracle JCAPS Middleware Applications o Numerous “off the shelf” Java Applications o Pension System Resumption project applications and application infrastructure support PROJECT SCOPE/TASKS: • Support the Oracle Application Server Suite, various versions (9.x, 10.x) in various environments (Internal, External, Dev, QA, Staging, Production). • Support the Oracle JCAPS 5.X Application Suite in various environments. • Support various other Java application servers and suites (JBOSS, Web Sphere, Web Logic, Apache, Tomcat) as needed. • Assist in maintaining the architecture and roadmap for external (Internet) application support on various application server platforms. • Assist in the maintenance of Web based services architecture. o Assist in the maintenance of the architecture/key infrastructure components. o Define methods, processes and roles associated with infrastructure administration. o Maintain Oracle Reports Server in support of specific CalPERS Java applications. • Assist in the administration and configuration of application server and environment elements in Web delivered applications infrastructure. o Support planning efforts associated with infrastructure upgrades. o Assist in the setup, configuration and support of new/existing development, testing, staging and production environments. o Support JAS System Administrators in the update and or modification of production Oracle tables. o Support JAS Systems Administrators in daily operations as well as assist with special projects (e.g., hardware/software upgrades, production releases, research and development, etc. • Mentor CalPERS staff in Oracle Application Server, JCAPS and Web Logic administration. • Document processes relative to Oracle Application Server installation, CalPERS applications deployment strategies, and best practices for troubleshooting the OAS infrastructure. • Document processes relative to Web Logic Application Server (WLS) installation, CalPERS applications deployment strategies, and best practices for troubleshooting the WLS infrastructure. • Document processes relative to Sun JCAPS Application Server installation, CalPERS applications deployment strategies, and best practices for troubleshooting the JCAPS infrastructure. • Document processes relative to Oracles Enterprise Relational Database Application Server installation, CalPERS applications deployment strategies, and best practices for troubleshooting the Enterprise Relational Database infrastructure. • Document processes relative to Oracles Primavera Application installation, CalPERS applications deployment strategies, and best practices for troubleshooting the Primavera infrastructure. • Document pro   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
