May act in a lead capacity on complex projects or may participate with other analysts on projects of acomplex nature or broad scope. *Must have a minimum of five (5) years experience as a Data Base Administrator (DBA); *At least three (3) years of said experience must have been at a high level both technically and in measure of responsibility. *Must be a certified professional DBA. *Must have understanding of information technology fundamentals, architecture, and the system development life cycle. *Must have the ability to reason logically and creatively, and use a variety of analytical and research techniques to solve complex problems; *Analyze situations and propose an effective course of action; *Analyze data; *Must be able to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others. *Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with a variety of audience types using different mechanisms including informal updates, formal presentations, business case documents, and other analytical and technical documents. *Additional Skills: *Five (5) years of experience as a PeopleSoft Database Administrator (DBA) on Oracle database version 11g or above. *Five (5) years of experience as a DBA supporting databases on Red Hat Linux 5.x or higher. *Five (5) years of experience writing Unix Shell scripts. *The candidate must have at least five (5) years of experience as a DBA supporting databases with a size of at least 500 GB. *Five (5) years of experience with Oracle 11g or higher: *Using Tuning Pack, Diagnostics Pack and Change Management Pack. *Writing PL/SQL objects. *Supporting Oracle databases that utilize the RMAN backups to disk and tape. *Supporting Oracle databases using replication/materialized views. *Supporting Oracle databases using triggers. *Using Oracle database auditing facilities. *Five (5) years of experience writing documentation (standards, best practices, procedures). *Five (5) years of experience designing a database from a logical data model using ERWin and creating a physical database from a logical model. *Five (5) years of experience supporting Oracle databases on Storage Area Network (SAN). *Three (3) years of experience with Oracle Exadata and Oracle ZFS storage appliance with Oracle databases. *DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: *Experience as a DBA supporting government retirement database systems. *Experience supporting Oracle databases (version 11g or higher) that utilize ASM for disk storage. *Experience with Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) database version 11g or higher. *Oracle DBA Certified Professional version 11g or higher (provide proof of certification). *Experience with virtualizing Oracle databases. *Experience with Oracle Real Application Testing.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
