Description: Straight contract for now, will extend past Jan 2020 if they are good About the Role: - Working on building data pipelines in house and in the cloud (google Cloud) - Pipelines will primarily process marketing analytics for Walmart US - They will be extracting data and not need to do the omniture themselves - Team is moving away from using Teradata - The pipelines will process the data and calculate aggregates at different levels - The data will be to analyze the marketing campaign performance (different campaigns through different channels) - This will help determine/optimize the future spend - The data might be joined with a few other data sets Must Have: - data modeling - must have built data pipelines previously end-to-end by themselves - Hive and SQL knowledge - Scala, Java, or Python (preference on Scala) programming experience – Spark experience - need to work independently - must be an individual contributor - use shell scripting to automate - programming background - NOT looking for people who have built ETL pipelines with SQL alone or ETL developers Nice To Have: - Google cloud knowledge - Lead experience - Apache experience - Build API pipelines using Spring framework - Tableau for visualization - Industry knowledge: retail (definitely not required) Interview Process: - Straight onsite for 1.5 hour onsite if they look really strong - If on the fence, they will do 45min zoom 1st round - Onsite required and they will be need to write code (in 30 min max)   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
