Job Description Engineer: ASP.Net, C#, .Net 3.5, Web Services SQL 2005 SDLC QA

Job Requirements:

Minimum Education Required:
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Minimum Experience Required:
5+ years of application development experience. Full software development lifecycle (SDLC) experience. Experience with financial services industry a plus.

Develops applications by writing code based upon design specifications and business requirements under the direction of the Development Manager and Project Manager. Takes an active role in the development group by sharing knowledge and mentoring others. This candidate is a member of a team, must adhere to secure development process and configuration management process and must be able to work cooperatively and autonomously.

SKILL SET: ASP.NET/ C#/ Strong SQL coding

Position Summary:

Develops applications by writing code based upon design specifications and business requirements under the direction of the Development Manager and Project Manager. Can function as a member of a team and must adhere to the companys secure development process and configuration management process. Must be able to work cooperatively and autonomously.

Technical experience and knowledge:

• .Net 1.1 through, and including, .Net 3.5
• C#
• ASP.NET
• .Net Remoting/WCF
• Webservices
• SQL 2005 database

Required Skills:
• Ability to analyze, design, program and implement web applications
o Present application design to development groups and tech leads for review and input
o Build and maintain development and integration environments for any development testing and collaboration needs
• Strong knowledge of operating systems and web based application development required
• Solid skills in object-oriented design and programming
• Ability to absorb and adapt to LPL software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Ability to write or update code documentation (technical approaches, system specifications/designs, product manuals, integration test, etc.)
• Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical groups on a regular basis to maintain transparency on work efforts and to ensure design and implementation is understood by all team participants
• Willingness to maintain and improve existing applications as well as write new applications
• Ability to work with QA to define test plans
